The neuroscience of
coming back to your body.

A three-day immersion in the signals beneath language. Learn to notice what your nervous system is already saying, then discover how small sensory inputs can create a clear shift.

One arc. Five states.

Your body is not a problem to solve.
It is a signal to read.

This is a structured progression from orientation to integration. Each state uses sight, sound, breath, texture, movement and narrative as precise ways into the nervous system.

Orient

Arrive through the senses. Use visual attention, spatial awareness and the support beneath you to let the nervous system register where you are now.

Question: What changes when your body knows where it is?

A

The living field

Guided sensory hike

Move through the Institute’s wooded campus with simple prompts for peripheral vision, rhythm, contact and sound. Not a fitness hike. A change in how the landscape reaches you.

Weather permitting, with an indoor sensory alternative.
B

Taste as signal

Coffee + chocolate house

A facilitated visit to MOKA Origins, located on the 400-acre campus. Slow down aroma, texture, temperature and taste until an everyday ritual becomes a sensory study.

Visit included. Personal purchases are separate.
C

Shared evidence

Group exploration

Compare what shifts across different bodies without forcing one right answer. We use language as observation, not diagnosis, and build a vocabulary for what is usually felt but unnamed.

Participation is invitational throughout.

What it is

A nervous-system learning experience.

Neuroscience education becomes something you can sense, test and carry into ordinary life.

What it is not

Not a conventional yoga or art retreat.

Movement and creative perception may appear, but there are no poses to perfect, artworks to produce or prescribed emotional breakthroughs.

The weekend rhythm

A schedule you can feel into.

Choose a day to see how the arc unfolds. Final timing may shift slightly with venue operations.

June 11–13, 2027

Come back with a method,
not a temporary high.

You will leave with a personal map of your signals, a set of small inputs you have tested for yourself and a clearer way to meet the moments when your system asks for attention.

Facilitated by

Jeremy Morton, CNIM

Board-certified neurophysiologist, Stanford-trained movement educator and health and wellness coach. Founder of Somatic Signal™, Jeremy translates nervous-system mechanics into precise, human-scale experiences.

Clear scope

This retreat is educational and experiential. It is not medical care, psychotherapy, trauma treatment, rehabilitation or a substitute for care from your licensed clinician.

Before you arrive

Useful clarity.

Do I need yoga, meditation or neuroscience experience?

No. The retreat is designed for curious adults, with every practice offered through accessible, invitational choices.

How active is the weekend?

Expect gentle movement, seated and standing exploration, and an optional guided walk on uneven outdoor terrain. Alternatives are always available.

How do lodging and meals work?

Your $399 payment covers Somatic Signal programming only. After reserving your place, you will receive the separate Himalayan Institute booking path for accommodations and its venue meal package.

What should I bring?

Comfortable layers, shoes for an outdoor walk, a water bottle and curiosity. Specialized art materials and yoga equipment are not required.

Can I participate with an injury or health condition?

Please use your own judgment and consult your clinician when appropriate. You may rest, observe or adapt any exploration. Contact us before registering if you want to discuss access needs.

Small input. Clear shift.

What if your body has been
speaking clearly all along?
